NBA sets record for online page views, streams

During NBA All-Star 2006, NBA.com set the all-time record for NBA All-Star weekly traffic with 129 million page views and nearly 20 million visits, an increase of 23 percent and close to 13 percent respectively, when compared to page views and visits to the site during last year’s NBA All-Star week.

–A record 5.1 million video clips were played by fans through NBA TV Broadband on NBA.com during NBA All-Star – the most-ever during a four day period (Friday, Feb. 17 – Monday, Feb. 20). The record results included all-time single day records for NBA video clips played on the site with more than 1.8 million on Sunday, Feb. 19 and more than 1.6 million on Monday, Feb 20.

–The new all-time single day records eclipsed the previous record of 1.2 million established on Jan. 23, 2006 – the day after the Lakers guard Kobe Bryant’s historic 81-point single game scoring performance.
