BRUCE GOLDFEDER JOINS CBS SPORTS AS NEW DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING

Bruce Goldfeder has joined CBS Sports as the new Director of Engineering. Goldfeder, a seven-time Emmy Award winner, joins CBS Sports after working many years as an engineer with Madison Square Garden Network. Most recently he served as the Director of Engineering for Venue Services Group, where he directed a group of design engineers in building mobile and fixed broadcast facilities. Goldfeder will be responsible for field and broadcast center engineering as well as new and special technologies for CBS Sports. He will report directly to Ken Aagaard, SVP CBS Sports operations and engineering. Goldfeder worked for MSG for 21 years as the Director of Field Operations (2000-04), Engineer-In-Charge (1988-2000) and Maintenance Technician (1983-88). He developed and handled entire cable infrastructures for Madison Square Garden, the Continental Arena, Shea Stadium, Nassau Coliseum and Radio City Music Hall.
His vast engineering experience also has seen him work as a Maintenance Engineer for the broadcasting Networks of seven Olympics including the Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy (2006; NBC); Salt Lake City, Utah (2002; NBC); Nagano, Japan (1998; CBS), as well as the Olympic Summer Games in Athens, Greece (2004; NBC); Sydney, Australia (2000; NBC); Atlanta, Georgia (1996; NBC) and Barcelona, Spain (1992; NBC).
Goldfeder also worked as an engineer for CBS Sports on the first ever-high definition broadcast of an NFL game in 1999, as well as with ESPN for the Summer and Winter X Games in 1998 and 99.

Goldfeder was born on January 28, 1957, and currently resides with his wife, Diana, and 8-year-old son, Noah, in Freeport, New York.
