B2TOGO allows live sports broadcasts on cellphones

B2 Networks is the latest to make sports viewing on mobile phones possible.

The company has introduced a new mobile distribution network dubbed B2TOGO that lets cellphone and PDA users view live B2 broadcasts on mobile phones and handheld PDAs. The anywhere, anytime, and anyplace service requires an Internet connection and Windows OS.

Any handheld device that has windows mobile operating system will broadcast [our content], says Bruce LeVine of B2Networks. B2 signed a three-year deal with World Extreme Fighting (WEF), a dominant force in the global Mixed Martial Artists (MMA). On June 10 WEF s championship from Las Vegas Nevada will be broadcast live for free on cell phones.
“This is an exciting moment for our company as B2TOGO has dramatically expanded the accessibility of live sports action to fans wherever they may be,” says Greg P. Bell, B2 Networks Owner and CEO. It is possible with World Cup fever around the corner for WEF fans overseas to attend a World Cup game and during the game simultaneously watch the the championship match on their cell phone.

Fans can also watch the event on their personal computer via PPV. But due to the increased usage of cellular technology, B2TOGO seems like the more easier and logical choice. “No longer does the sports fan have to be at home to watch B2, as long as they have a cell phone or PDA watching their favorite sport is only a click away, Bell says.
Due to the creation of B2TOGO and the expanding fan base for WEF, both companies see huge growth potential. B2 network is not only affiliated with the WEF but also National lacrosse League, the AHL, ECHL, UHL, USHL, They have agreements with many of these leagues to release the mobile services sometime in the near future.
