Snell shows support for World Cup with 24-hour support

Snell & Wilcox today has created a dedicated support structure for broadcasters using Snell & Wilcox equipment to deliver 2006 FIFA World Cup broadcasts to viewers across the globe. Seven Kahuna SD/HD multiformat production switchers are being deployed by five broadcasters for tournament coverage, and many broadcasters will also rely on Snell & Wilcox conversion, distribution, processing, monitoring, and control solutions to provide the best possible pictures in the most appropriate format.

Snell & Wilcox clients will enjoy front-line support in Germany from June 2 to July 9, with e-mail and 24-hour telephone support also available.
Support queries should be directed to:
[email protected] for file and data-transfer products
[email protected] for video products and
[email protected] for switcher products.

The 24-hour telephone support line is +49 175 9750481.

Technical support will be complemented by the availability of service spares at Snell & Wilcox s German offices in Wiesbaden/Frankfurt and also in Munich.
“At Snell & Wilcox we pride ourselves on offering products of an exceptionally high quality, backed by exceptional support,” said Joe Zaller, vice president of marketing at Snell & Wilcox. “We created a multitiered support structure for the 2006 FIFA World Cup because it is among the most popular sports events in the world and because so many of the world s foremost broadcasters in so many different countries rely on our products to bring the event home for their viewing audiences.
