Winter named NBC Universal Sports & Olympics SVP, Sales and Marketing

Seth Winter has been named Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, NBC Universal Sports & Olympics. Keith Turner, President, Sales & Marketing, NBC Universal, says Winter will be responsible for all sales and marketing efforts for all NBC Sports & Olympics properties, including “NBC Sunday Night Football,” the upcoming Beijing Olympic Games in 2008, Notre Dame football, PGA Tour and USGA golf events, tennis, including Wimbledon, the French Open and US Open on USA Network and the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes.

“Seth brings broad sports sales and management experience to this position, and is a great asset to our leadership team,” said Turner. “Seth’s extensive sports knowledge and proven successes as a sales leader make him the natural fit for this role.”

Winter most recently served as Vice President, Sales for NBCU Digital Media, overseeing Internet and broadband sales for NBCU’s expanding digital media efforts. Previously, Winter was Vice President, Sales for NBC News. He joined NBC Universal in 2000 as Vice President, Sales for MSNBC.

Prior to joining NBC Universal, Winter was the President and General Manager for WRBW-TV in Orlando, FL. Winter spent the majority of his career previously at the sports superstation, WOR-TV, where he started as an account executive before taking on leadership roles as the local sales manager, national sales manager and finally vice president and general sales manager.

Winter graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in government and theology. He resides in Mountainside, NJ with his wife and three sons.
