Steelers Announce New Ticketmaster Service to Provide Fans Online Access to Purchase and Resell Tickets

The
Pittsburgh Steelers announced the launch of Steelers TicketExchange, a new
service that will allow Steelers’ season ticket holders to forward or resell
tickets to other fans for games they are unable to attend. Ticketmaster will power the Steelers TicketExchange
service and will serve as the team’s exclusive authorized ticketing and resale
ticketing provider. The new service will be available on August 1.

Steelers
TicketExchange, located at http://www.steelers.com/ticketexchange, will serve
as the team’s only authorized resale Web site and will provide a convenience
for season ticket holders wishing to sell and for fans wishing to buy tickets
to Steelers home games. The TicketExchange transaction is entirely automated
and processed by Ticketmaster. Steelers fans who purchase tickets through TicketExchange
will receive a brand new ticket with a new and unique barcode identifying the
buyer as the new owner of that ticket. Fans who purchase tickets via
TicketExchange may select to have their tickets delivered electronically via
TicketFast, Ticketmaster’s online ticket delivery service.

“Steelers
TicketExchange is part of our ongoing commitment to provide the highest quality
services to our loyal fans,” said Arthur J. Rooney II, president of the
Pittsburgh Steelers. “This new system offers secure, fan-to-fan
transactions processed by Ticketmaster and a convenient way for our fans to
resell and purchase tickets. If fans purchase tickets through Steelers
TicketExchange, they can rest assured that they are not purchasing fake
tickets.”

“The
Steelers are fully committed to their fans in

Pittsburgh and across the world,” said
Sean Moriarty, President and CEO, Ticketmaster. “We are excited to work
with the team to ensure that these new services provide added value and the
best possible scope of services, making it easy and convenient for fans to
attend Steelers games at Heinz Field.”

Season
ticket holders selling tickets through TicketExchange receive payment through
Ticketmaster and do not have to collect payment from anonymous buyers. Payments
received for sales through TicketExchange, less applicable fees, will be
credited to the seller’s season ticket holder account and applied to future
charges (e.g., post-season tickets or season tickets for the following year).
Using TicketExchange, buyers can select the tickets they want based on price,
seat location, and availability with the assurance that the tickets they
purchase will be valid to attend the game.

Steelers
TicketExchange will launch on August 1 when season ticket holders can begin
posting their tickets and Steelers fans may begin purchasing tickets through
the team’s new resale service.

The
Steelers are also introducing season ticket holders to Account Manager, a
powerful online tool for managing their accounts and season tickets entirely
online through “My Steelers Ticket Account” at http://www.steelers.com.
This new service, which is also available as of August 1, allows fans to easily
update some of their account information, receive personalized notifications
from the team, email tickets to friends and associates, and resell tickets
through the Steelers TicketExchange site.

Another
new service for Steelers fans includes the installation of AccessManager at
Heinz Field. Ticketmaster’s access control system works in tandem with
TicketExchange and makes it easier and faster for fans to get in to the stadium
on game day. Through AccessManager, all home game tickets will be
“scanned” for validity at the stadium entrances. This system monitors
entry traffic, helps identify invalid tickets, speeds the replacement of lost
tickets, and helps eliminate wrong day event tickets.
