Marquis Broadcast Announces Medway Support For EVS XT[2] Server Range

Marquis Broadcast has added EVS Broadcast Equipment’s EVS XT2 server to the
list of products supported by its Medway media highway system.

By supporting the EVS XT2 proprietary file export format, Medway brings new
functionality to broadcasters by enabling them to read and write DNxHD media
between systems based on the EVS XT[2] architecture and Avid Technology’s
storage and Media Composer editing systems.

“Marquis continues to make the benefits of Medway’s powerful media interchange
capabilities available to more broadcasters,” said Granby Patrick, Partner
Director, Technology, Marquis Broadcast. “EVS customers can now improve
workflow efficiencies throughout their broadcasting processes by using Medway
to simplify and centralise the management of bi-directional media transfers
between Avid systems and the XT2 platforms.”

“The integration of EVS servers with Medway brings workflow improvements as
well as more flexibility to critical broadcast processes,” said Serge Comes,
Product Manager, EVS Broadcast Equipment. “Being able to guarantee seamless
operation of Medway with our servers means we can offer broadcasters a
reliable, highly practical and cost effective solution for efficient production
and repurposing of content.”
