Corplex hires Dixon as Manager, Field Shop Ops

Corplex has hired Carlton Dixon as Manager, Field Shop Operations. “Carlton will be a great addition to the team we have assembled at Corplex”, states Scott West, Corplex President and Partner. “We still operate like family here and finding the right combination of skills and personality for any position here is done with a lot of care.

Prior to joining Corplex Carlton worked for Bexel, Orlando, where he played a key role in establishing the Florida office operations. Prior to his move to Florida, he worked in Bexel’s Chicago office and for its predecessors, Charter Advanced Broadcast Services and Victor Duncan. He also worked with several Chicago production houses as a maintenance engineer and has extensive experience with logistics and inventory management systems as well as hands on maintenance and on site engineering.

“When we had the opportunity to welcome someone with Carlton’s experience and personality, we jumped at the chance,” says West. “His combination of engineering, administrative and personal skills makes him a great fit for us at Corplex where he will play a key role in our expansion.”

One of Carlton’s first tasks will be to help build Iridium, the company’s newest unit. Iridium will be a High Definition Unit that will not require a support unit and will take advantage of new display technologies and advancements in router control, facilitating a more efficient flexible setup for operators and engineers alike.

Corplex currently operates three mobile units; Platinum, a network level triple expanding High Definition mobile unit that includes Mercury, a graphics and support unit, Sterling, a 53-foot expanding SDI unit and Copper a 48-foot SDI non-expanding unit.
