TSN Secures 8-Year Broadcast Extension for Toronto Maple Leafs

TSN, the
national specialty television home of the NHL, announced it has secured
an 8-year extension for Toronto Maple Leafs regional broadcasts. The
agreement, which begins this season, complements TSN’s 70-game NHL national
broadcast package.

TSN’s
2007/08 Toronto Maple Leafs broadcast schedule features a total of 12 games, 7
of which will air nationally. All of TSN’s national Leafs telecasts will
air in High Definition on TSN HD.

TSN’s Gord
Miller/Pierre McGuire and Chris Cuthbert/Glenn Healy will share duties calling
the nationally-televised games. For the regional broadcasts, Joe Bowen
and Harry Neale will once again conduct the play-by-play and game analysis.

The NHL on
TSN Maple Leafs broadcast schedule gets underway on October 3 – opening night
of the NHL season in North America – with a national telecast featuring the
battle of

Ontario with

Ottawa @ Toronto. TSN’s Molson Canadian
Leafs Hockey regional telecasts begin on November 9 with

Toronto @ Buffalo.

TSN has
been televising Leafs regional broadcasts since 1998.

TSN’s
regional Leafs telecasts are available in the Toronto Maple Leafs broadcast
region, defined by the NHL as all of

Ontario
west of a line drawn roughly north from

Brighton
to Petawawa.
