RockMe TV to use Kulabyte Express for live and streaming services

Kulabyte,
a provider of advanced audio and video processing technologies, announced that
RockMe TV, a syndicated live streaming service and user-generated content
portal, will use Kulabyte Express, the company’s recently-launched series of
video encoding solutions. RockMe TV will integrate Kulabyte Express into
its ingest system for both live and streaming services.

RockMe TV
provides coverage of a wide range of events, and syndicates user-generated
content across a wide network of partnerships, including blip.tv, MySpace, and
YouTube.

Kulabyte
recently introduced its Kulabyte Express encoding and transcoding products,
that provide a comprehensive set of encoding solutions for customers, including
WM9, MPEG-2, H.264 (Flash compatible), and VP6 for Flash.

“The
user-generated content revolution is well-represented by RockMe TV, which has
developed a strong following for its live Internet content, and we are pleased
that Kulabyte Express products will enable the growth of this leading content
syndication portal,” said Chris Gottschalk, CTO of Kulabyte. “The integration
of Express Live for live streaming of both Flash and Windows Media content will
enable RockMe TV to deliver higher-quality content at lower bit-rates and lower
costs.”

“We have
developed a strong offering for our clients and viewers with live streaming,
and the Kulabyte team has created something that is ideally suited to our
production needs,” said Phil Londrico, CEO of RockMe TV. “The RockMe TV
brand depends on ultra-fast encoding and rock-solid reliability. With
Kulabyte, we can literally expand the number of channels we offer, and
significantly improve the quality of the output.”

Kulabyte
Express products can be ordered over the phone at +1.512.795.4228 or at [email protected].
The entire Kulabyte Express Series will be available for order at IBC 2007 in
Booth 6.111, Hall 6 of the
RAI
Convention Center, on September 7th in

Amsterdam.
