Final Round of TOUR Championship on NBC up 233 percent over last year

NBC
Sports’ final round coverage of THE TOUR Championship on Sunday (1:30-6:07 p.m.
ET), the culmination of the inaugural PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedEx Cup,
earned a 3.0 national rating and a 7 share, a 233 percent increase over last
year’s final round of the tournament on ABC (0.9/2, 1-5 p.m. ET, 11/5/06).

Tiger Woods won THE TOUR Championship in

Atlanta,
to become the first name engraved on the FedEx Cup, with a four-round score of
257, a career-best and the third lowest total in PGA TOUR history. The victory
was the 61st of Woods’ career moving him one behind Arnold Palmer for fourth
place all time.

over ABC’s Saturday coverage in 2006 (1.4/3). NBC’s two-day average of 2.8/7
showed a 155 percent jump from ABC’s two-day average last year (1.1/2).

After a one-week hiatus, Woods will join Phil Mickelson and the best American

outside of
Europe in the Presidents Cup. NBC
will broadcast 18 hours of live coverage from

Montreal, Saturday, Sept. 29, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
and Sunday, Sept. 30, Noon-6 p.m.
