CFL Attendance Continues to Rise

The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today that
average league attendance for the 2007 regular season finished at 29,167, the
highest since the 1983 season. It is also the sixth consecutive year that total
attendance has exceeded 2,000,000.

“Attendance is the most significant symbol of the
CFL’s success and a core revenue generator for our teams,” said CFL
Commissioner, Mark Cohon. “Our continued growth in attendance is a strong
indicator of our league’s positive momentum and underscores the growing passion
Canadians have for our great game.”

League-wide attendance was supported by sold-out stadiums
across the country including six straight sell-outs at Mosaic Stadium in
Saskatchewan, five straight at Canad Inns Stadium
Winnipeg, all eight
Montreal games played at
Molson Stadium and two at McMahon Stadium in

Calgary.

In

Toronto,
the Argonauts experienced their highest average attendance at Rogers Centre
since 1992 (30,931).

The highest attendance this season was 46,704 at
Commonwealth Stadium when the Edmonton Eskimos played the Saskatchewan
Roughriders on Friday, July 20.
