NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman to host satellite radio show on XM Canada

XM Canada announced
a new weekly live satellite radio show titled “NHL Hour” which will
be hosted by NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman and a rotation of League executives.
NHL Radio and XM Canada created the show in response to the overwhelmingly
positive feedback received when the Commissioner first appeared on the NHL Home
Ice channel (XM 204) on XM Canada.

“This
program sets the bar high – it marks the first time fans of a professional
sports league will have direct access to the sport’s top decision makers,”
said John Bitove, chairman and CEO of XM Canada. “This is a unique opportunity
for hockey fans to engage the Commissioner and learn more about the inner
workings of their favorite sport. It is something completely different and can
only be found on XM Satellite Radio. I would like to thank Mr. Bettman for
having the foresight to go where no other league has gone before.”

“NHL
Hour” will debut Tuesday, November 27 at 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. EST on NHL Home
Ice (XM-204) and NHL.com. On December 6, “NHL Hour” will begin airing
every Thursday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. EST.

The
candid, interactive talk radio show will be hosted by a rotation of League
executives including Commissioner Bettman, Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly and
Senior Executive VP of Hockey Operations Colin Campbell. The show will be
co-hosted by XM sports host and former NHL player Bill Clement.
