P. Harris Morris Named VP of Software Systems for Harris

Harris Corporation has named P. Harris Morris to the newly
created position of vice president of Software Systems in its Broadcast
Communications business. Morris will be responsible for the software,
server, newsroom and editing businesses that manage digital media workflow for
global broadcast and other media customers. He will be located in
Denver, Colorado.

Morris had been chief strategy officer for the Thomson
Learning Division of Thomson Corporation where he played an instrumental role
in the development of Thomson’s growth strategy for international channel
expansion and digital products. Previously, he was a partner and vice
president of Bain & Company, a global business consulting firm.
During 13 years with Bain & Company, he helped numerous “flagship clients”
to focus in the areas of growth strategy, mergers and acquisitions, operations
improvement and globalization. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in
economics and foreign affairs from the
University
of
Virginia, and an MBA degree with a
focus in operations and finance from the
Harvard Business
School.

& Company, he helped develop the company’s commercial market strategies. In
this newly created position, he will build on our strategies to expand
addressable markets and focus product development efforts that allow us to
offer more comprehensive solutions to our customers.”
