Orad and SGT automation form integrated solution

Orad Hi-Tec Systems Limited, a provider of real time graphic
solutions and SGT, a vendor in broadcast solutions, are combining forces as Orad’s
Maestro On-Air-Graphics system and SGT’s VEDA Automation will form an integrated
solution. This unique solution will provide broadcasters with advanced 3D real
time graphics for channel branding and automatic promos in a master control
room environment.

During the preparation phase broadcasters will be able to
use Orad’s ActiveX plugin inside SGT’s VEDA Automation to browse Maestro’s
graphics templates, prepare and modify data, assign a unique ID to the graphic
template or data, and more importantly preview and validate the items from the
automation system’s graphic user interface regardless of their source of
origin.

In the playout state, SGT’s VEDA Automation, via the VEDA
Device Manager, will control the Maestro on air graphics system by sending cue,
play or stop commands, using the unique ID provided by Orad’s ActiveX as an
identifier. Maestro will retrieve it from its database and send the necessary
commands to Orad’s fully redundant HDVG video rendering platform to play the
desired graphics on air in frame accurately.

Broadcasters will be able to design real-time 2D and 3D
graphics and animations with Orad’s 3Designer authoring software, as well as
benefit from multiple streams of full resolution video insertions, the playout
of multiple clips in their native resolution thereby providing superior
graphics capabilities, and fully featured embedded audio.
