Houston Astros home games will be in HD

FSN Houston will broadcast all home games and selected road
games in high-definition. FSN Houston will carry 130 regular season games and
four Spring Training telecasts, while KTXH My 20 takes over as a new partner
and has a 31-game package. All HD programming will be carried on FSN HD and
KTXH HD.
“We’ve made a commitment to give
Houston sports fans what they’ve been asking
for by continuing to increase our production of high-definition
programming,” said new FSN Houston Senior Vice President/General Manager
Steve Tello. “Astros fans this year will enjoy more games in
high-definition than ever before. Together with our new broadcast partner KTXH,
our telecasts promise to be among the best in Major League Baseball.”
“We are thrilled to add these Houston Astros telecasts
to the My20 lineup,” said KTXH Vice President and General Manager
D’Artagnan Bebel. “This is a significant extension of our station’s
partnerships with
Houston’s
premiere sports franchises.”
“The Houston Astros are proud of our partnership with
FSN Houston,” said Astros Senior Vice President, Communications Jay Lucas.
“Our fans will continue to be provided with a high-quality broadcast along
with the talented Bill Brown and Jim Deshaies providing the play-by-play and
analysis of our games throughout the 2008 season. We welcome our new partner
KTXH-My20 and we are very excited that all home games and selected road games
will be broadcast in high-definition. The HD telecasts are a great showcase for
both the Astros and
Minute
Maid Park,
and we look forward to FSN Houston’s ability to utilize this technology to
bring Astros fans closer to the action during the 161 telecasts during the
year.”
