EVS extends operations in the Middle East with Dubai office

EVS Broadcast Equipment is further strengthening its
operations in the Middle East with the opening of a
Dubai office this month. Located in the
Studio City, part of the state-of-the-art Dubai Media City, EVS Middle East
will have a fully equipped demo and training centre showcasing a complete
integration of EVS recording, editing and playout systems.

EVS has a strong presence in the Middle
East and its technologies are well-suited to the region’s frequent
multi-camera live and near-live productions which include a vast array of
televised live sport events, mega concerts and religious festivals.

Headed by Bruno Schmetz, Middle East Sales Manager from EVS
headquarters in Li ge, the office will be supported by technical engineers and
support staff employed locally. Henry Alexander, EVS General Manager Europe, Middle East and Africa
comments:

EVS has been increasingly active in the Middle East
over recent years. The company recently supplied all the live and near-live
production equipment for the Doha Asia Games; Jordan’s ART fleet of HD OB vans
are fully equipped with EVS’ non-linear editing systems; in Qatar, EVS supplied
sport production solutions for main broadcasters Al Kaas and Al Jazeerha Sport;
and EVS equipped Dubai TV with their first tapeless installation that allows
integration between OB and studio production.
