FileCatalyst to be demonstrated at NAB 2008

Unlimi-Tech Software, a provider in accelerated file
transfer software, will be demonstrating its FileCatalyst technology at the
upcoming NAB 2008 trade show in
Las
Vegas. The FileCatalyst family of products offers
broadcasters, carriers, telecoms, post production houses, and digital delivery
and system integration companies a software solution that is able to maximize
transfer speeds as well as offer a complete web-based workflow solution for
submission, tracking and distribution of digital content.

“The media and entertainment industry is in dire need
for an accelerated file transfer solution that is not only fast but also easy
to install and use,” says Chris Bailey, CEO of Unlimi-Tech. “We are
often contacted by M&E companies that are not satisfied with other file
transfer solutions because they are difficult to configure, their licensing is
not flexible and have poor performance.”

FileCatalyst Direct can be deployed in under 20 minutes to
offer line speed transfers with no extensive configuration. It can also be
deployed as part of a web portal, meaning no end user installation or
configuration is required. The central licensing model allows one license to
serve an entire enterprise. There is no need to constantly procure new licenses
to accommodate the ever-changing landscape of your business.

FileCatalyst technology can also be easily integrated into
existing workflow and media asset management solutions. FileCatalyst is one of
the data movers to integrate with the IBM Media Hub Solution Framework,
IBM’s services oriented architecture (SOA)-based solution for the media and
entertainment industry. The solution is designed to manage the increasing
complexity of running a content-focused business from the point of creation to
the distribution of digital content. Media Hub enables media and entertainment companies
to streamline file-based workflows, allowing them to reduce costs and
distribute new products and services to consumers more rapidly. IBM will be
demonstrating the solution at NAB 2008 in
Las
Vegas.

“The IBM Media Hub Solution Framework enables media
companies to fully automate and streamline the flow of digital content,”
said Steve Canepa, vice president of Media and Entertainment at IBM.
“FileCatalyst provides a key component to accelerate the digital workflow
further by removing file transfer bottlenecks.”
