NFL packaging Friday TV show for Super Bowl

The Sports Business Journal reports that the NFL is packaging a 60- to 90-minute TV show that it plans to air on the Friday before the Super Bowl. The live program will be produced from the Super Bowl’s host city —
Tampa in 2009 — by the broadcaster that holds the rights to the Super
Bowl, and will be set up as an awards show for some of the league’s top
individual awards. NBC has the option to
