VideoLink taps Panasonic HD flypack

VideoLink, Inc., a provider
of video and marketing communications services for broadcasters and
corporations, has expanded its high definition production and ‘High Definition
News Gathering’ (HDNG) capabilities with the addition of a full HD camera
package and HD flypack. The new acquisitions
bolster VideoLink’s extensive capabilities to provide full HD productions
either in its own studios or at remote locations. As a complement to
VideoLink’s fully redundant HD Ku uplink vehicle nicknamed “Lobster”,
the new hardware extends VideoLink’s status as the region’s premiere
HD solution provider.
VideoLink has produced HD
events for ESPN and for organizations such as Borders Group, Beth Israel
Deaconess Medical
Center, NASCAR and
Thistle Communications.
The new HD cameras and
flypack consist of a Panasonic AV-HS400 HD/SD switcher, Panasonic AJ-HDX900
cameras, a Panasonic 26-inch HD monitor and an RTS Intercom.
