Towson University to Install Daktronics LED Video for Football

Towson University will
install a new Daktronics HD-X light emitting diode (LED) football video and
scoring systems for the 2008 season, designed and manufactured by Daktronics
Inc. of Brookings, S.D.

Towson’s
football video display features Daktronics HD-X technology approximately 47
feet wide by 17 feet high with lines of LEDs on 16 millimeter spacing.

In addition to the new Daktronics HD-X LED video display, Towson will also
being installing an integrated system of locker room clocks, delay of game
clocks and an auxiliary scoreboard with game clock, Home and Guest scores and
period.

The state-of-the-art system features the latest Daktronics LED video technology
with the capabilities to present live and recorded video images, colorful
animation and vivid graphics with incredible brightness and wide angle
visibility. Daktronics LED technology offers a long lifetime with minimal
maintenance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years
to come.

“The 16:9 aspect ratio widescreen display is ideal for full screen video, but
offers great split screen capabilities. This gives Towson great flexibility in using the display
for video, scoring, stats and advertising,” said Rob Zeller, Daktronics
Regional Sales Manager.
