RF Central Launches New Six-WAY COFDM Diversity Receiver

RF
Central is unveiling its new RMR-X6-II six-way COFDM diversity receiver at IBC
2008. Building on the success of its original RFX-RMR-X6, the RMR-X6-II
delivers new advancements and capabilities.
The
RMR-X6-II offers diversity reception with new cutting-edge features including
On Screen Display of stream data, Ethernet monitoring for remote control access
and IP encapsulation for Internet broadcast. Among its other attributes is the
ability to deliver both SD and HD (SDI) video when paired with a standard or
high definition external ASI decoder. Delivering a broadcast-rugged
package that captures the essence of flexibility and forward thinking design,
the RMR-X6-II is outfitted with a straightforward front panel design, compact
chassis and OLED graphic display.
“Through
the development of the new RMR-X6-II, RF Central has expanded diversity receiver
options for today’s broadcasters,” says RF Central CEO Jeff Winemiller. “While
customers can continue to take full advantage of diversity reception with all
of the benefits of maximum ratio combining established by our original
RFX-RMR-X6, they now have the equipment necessary for doing this as they
transition into full HD with multiple broadcast delivery platforms.”
