NEP Acquires Two NMT HD Units and Transmission Equipment

By Ken Kerschbaumer

NEP purchased National Mobile Television’s two remaining HD mobile units, HD3 and HD10 along with transmission equipment currently housed in the NMT field shop in Dallas,TX, at a foreclosure auction held by Wachovia on Friday.

“Next week we will begin to evaluate the best usage of this equipment based on the current needs of the market and specific customers,” says George Hoover, NEP CTO. “We will be looking across the entire NEP Broadcasting portfolio as we determine where best to deploy these assets.”

The two units are currently in use by the MSG Network in New York City and the Phoenix Suns in Phoenix, AZ through April 17 and the end of the current NBA regular season. NEP is working with Wachovia to ensure that those commitments are fulfilled.

Another auction of remaining NMT assets will be held by Wachovia next Friday.
