NESN Adds Roberts to Red Sox Roster

The man whose stolen base jump-started the historic comeback by the Boston Red Sox versus the New York Yankees in the 2004 American League Championship Series will now be analyzing his former ballclub in the NESN studio.

Dave Roberts, a 10-year Major Leaguer, joined the regional sports network as a studio analyst, where he will team up with Hall of Famers Dennis Eckersley and Jim Rice on Red Sox pregame and postgame shows.

Roberts will make his NESN debut by joining broadcast team Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy in the booth for a couple of innings at Monday night’s game versus the Yankees, the first visit by the Red Sox to the new Yankee Stadium.
