CES 2010: Samsung Unveils ‘3D Home Ecosystem’

At its Consumer Electronics Show press conference Wednesday in Las Vegas, Samsung presented a package of 3D TV products, including from televisions, glasses, Blu-ray players, and a home theater system. The “3D Home Ecosystem” is expected to go on sale later this year.

In addition, Samsung announced a partnership with DreamWorks and Technicolor to promote and produce 3D TV. Dreamworks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg announced at the presentation that his studio’s animated film Monsters vs. Aliens will be released on 3D Blue-ray later this year in partnership with Samsung.

Samsung also presented a series of ultra-thin LCD televisions that claim to be the world’s thinnest LED TVs at a third of an inch wide.
