ESPN2, Tennis Channel Team Up for Aussie Open Coverage

ESPN2 and Tennis Channel will team up to provide hundreds of hours of live coverage from the 2010 Australian Open in Melbourne, which runs from Jan. 17 through Jan. 29.

ESPN and ESPN2 will offer 113 hours of live coverage in full HD while Tennis Channel has planned 75 hours of original studio programming surrounding the event. Most of the live coverage will air in the early morning hours with encores later that day.

According to Multichannel News, the two networks will work together, with ESPN producing all Australian Open content for both channels and Tennis Channel taking the production reigns at this year’s French Open.
