Comcast Will Fight FCC’s “Loophole” Ruling on RSNs

Comcast plans to fight the FCC’s ruling that closed the “terrestrial loophole” that keeps Comcast RSNs off satellite TV.

According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, Comcast executive David L. Cohen spoke on WIP-AM 610 sports radio in Philadelphia, saying that the company will challenge the FCC’s ruling in an administrative process.  He also said that Comcast plans to cite DirecTV’s Sunday Ticket package of out-of-market NFL games, which he calls “the most valuable exclusive in sports today,” as reason why the ruling should be overturned.
