Required Viewing (that isn’t the Super Bowl): Frontline’s Digital Nation

Every once in a while we come across a truly thought-provoking program that does more than simply hype the digital world. Frontline’s Digital Nation is the latest and, quite possibly, the best yet. Thankfully the Web site streams the full program in case you can’t catch it on PBS and we recommend it highly to all (especially if your career requires understanding the deeper impact of the Internet, handheld devices, and being connected on the brain and work productivity). Read on for the complete introduction and to watch the program.

“Within a single generation, digital media and the World Wide Web have transformed virtually every aspect of modern culture, from the way we learn and work to the ways in which we socialize and even conduct war. But is the technology moving faster than we can adapt to it? And is our 24/7 wired world causing us to lose as much as we’ve gained?”

Again, it makes for fascinating viewing. Click here to watch the program.
