ESPN Beefs Up College Lacrosse Coverage

ESPN will air 57 men’s and women’s college lacrosse games this season, mostly on ESPNU. The network’s most extensive schedule to date will begin Feb. 19 with a regular season match and conclude on May 31 with the NCAA National Championship game.

For the first time, every NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Championship game will be offered in high definition through ESPNU HD, ESPN2 HD and ESPN HD. In addition, ESPNU will produce 16 regular-season games in high definition.

Overall, ESPNU, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN360.com will combine to offer 42 regular-season and all 15 NCAA Tournament games. ESPNU, which will celebrate its fifth anniversary March 4, will televise the majority of the action with 40 regular-season games and every first-round and quarterfinal matchup of the men’s NCAA Tournament.
