Panasonic, Best Buy Poised for 3D Launch

Panasonic 3D TVs, which will hit the shelves March 10, will be featured exclusively in Best Buy stores across the country, following a partnership between the consumer electronics manufacturer and the top US electronics retail chain.

Best Buy will feature a special 3D TV exhibition area for consumers in all 300 of its U.S. stores and will discount the prices of those sets by nearly 50% in a n effort to drive widespread adoption of the technology.

Panasonic aims to sell 1 million 3D TVs worldwide over the next fiscal year (beginning in April), half of which are expected from the U.S.
