Peter Wharton Joins T-VIPS as Director, Strategic Accounts

Peter Wharton has been named Director of Strategic Accounts for T-VIPS, Inc., joining the U.S.-based management team of Joe LoGrasso and Steve Sloane. He will help strengthen the company by supporting the accelerating business growth in the Americas.

Wharton comes from Miranda Technologies, Inc., where he was most recently the Director of Operations and Sales for the Mid-Atlantic region. Prior to that he held positions at Miranda in product management for its iControl facility monitoring system and Oxtel-series master control and branding products, and was also an applications engineer. At Miranda he was instrumental in the development and launch of several highly successful products, routinely setting sales records for the company.

“Peter’s background in engineering and product management combined with strong experience in sales and systems design means that he is grounded in customer needs and applications as well as having an excellent grasp of the potential of emerging technologies and helping customers understand the resulting opportunities,“ says Joe LoGrasso, Vice President and General Manager for T-VIPS Inc.

Wharton has also worked at PanAmSat, where he helped to develop and launch NET-36, an innovative satellite-based content delivery network for streaming video, and for the streaming news service ConnectLive, where he was VP of Engineering and Technology. Prior to that he spent 20 years in the engineering divisions of the ABC News Network and the Fox News Channel, where he was responsible for technical operations at the White House, Capitol Hill and other Washington news venues and oversaw technical network pool operations and managed special events coverage.
