Keyframe Produces Intro Video for Iowa State Gymnastics

Keyframe, in the second of a three-year contract with Iowa State University, produced an all-new intro video for the Cyclones gymnastics team for the 2010 season. The new intro, which can be seen here, debuted when ISU hosted Wisconsin-Stout on Jan. 8 in Ames, Iowa.

“I was happy with the video,” says Lauren Belisle, Marketing Associate at Iowa State. “During our gymnastics events, we turn off the lights in the arena when the intro video is played so it demands everyone’s attention. This season we gave Keyframe free creative reign on designing the intro, and they definitely produced a video that went above and beyond anything we ever imagined. The video was very well received among our fans, coaches and team.”

Keyframe (a service division of Daktronics) designed year’s open to focus on the cyclones team values that match up with the university’s own acronym: ISU – Integrity, Strength and Unity.

The overall look and feel of the video was inspired by the ISU gymnastics poster to help create a cohesive branding and marketing strategy for the team. The movement of the camera follows a traveling element from one video highlight to the next. The logo and beat of the music are incorporated and all elements translate to the auxiliary displays for a moment of exclusivity where all the video displays in the arena work together for this entire presentation.
