Masstech Systems Now Support Venera’s Pulsar-MXL QC Verification Solution

Masstech Group has announced that the CatchBLUE, MassStore TOPAZ and MassStore INDIGO systems now support the Pulsar-MXL file based QC verification solution by Venera Technologies. The new plug-in, exclusively available for the new CatchBLUE platform, is designed to verify that files received over satellite are valid, within specification and air-able without visual quality control.

“When two technology leading companies partner, there is often a synergy that culminates in advanced solutions. The combination of Masstech’s Asset Management solutions with Venera’s QC technology, allows broadcasters to move content faster and deliver QC’d ready-to-air files,” says Joe French, President and CEO of Masstech. “The need for content management for file based delivery and the broadcast environment is vital, and we are pleased to have such an innovative partner committed to forging a long term and mutually beneficial relationship.”

Bob Coleman, VP Engineering at Masstech adds: “Our next generation CatchBLUE system complements the file-based delivery services from PitchBlue and all of the other major delivery services, automating the reception and localization of content and metadata, vastly simplifying program preparation and playout operations. Along with our new TOPAZ for smaller facilities and our flagship INDIGO, the all-in-one MAM suite, we provide complete technology packages that are built upon our experience at over 300 installations worldwide.”

Masstech and Venera will host a launch party in the Masstech booth during NAB on Tuesday, April 13, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. along with executives from PitchBlue to provide details on this exciting alliance.
