Chyron Upgrades Key High-Performance Graphics, Branding Systems
Chyron has launched the next-generation platforms of two flagship products: the LEX3 Graphics System and the Channel Box2.
The LEX3, a mid-range graphics system, is suited to the smaller broadcaster or mobile facility, providing advanced features and improved performance to those about to enter the world of HD graphics. Among the options offered by the new system are touch-enabled graphics, integrated clips, DVE, and second-video input. The LEX3 offers scalability to fit graphics needs, technical requirements, and budget.
The Channel Box2 platform delivers increased HD capabilities, including three HD DVEs. The universal 4.0 software release includes VB scripting, API, automatic file monitoring, X-Keys Pro support, dynamic image and movie replacement, and user-interface enhancements.
With Channel Box2, broadcasters can take branding to a new level in terms of efficiencies and return on investment. Many broadcasters spend hours of valuable edit-suite time creating prepackaged credit squeezes. Channel Box2 enables these squeezes to be run live-to-air, reducing costs and taking the responsibility off the shoulders of an increasingly stretched production staff. Additionally, combining the end credits of one show with the first segment of another can increase ad inventory by up to 30 seconds each time per show.
“As always our priorities at Chyron are two-fold,” said President/CEO Michael Wellesley-Wesley, “creating state-of-the art graphics solutions to keep up with the rapidly changing broadcast landscape and to create products and upgrades that fit seamlessly into existing infrastructure and workflow.”
