Boston Red Sox Embrace Chyron HyperX3 Graphics

Boston’s Fenway Park has become the latest sports venue to install Chyron’s HyperX3 graphics system and award-winning Lyric PRO 7 design and render engine to generate graphics for the Boston Red Sox centerfield electronic scoreboard.
First opened on April 20, 1912, Fenway Park is the oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball and one of the most respected of all American sports venues. It has had a number of improvements and enhancements over the years, yet remains largely unchanged from the original classic configuration beloved by the team’s legion of fans popularly known as “Red Sox Nation.”  Chyron’s HyperX3 graphics system is an enhancement designed to add to the enjoyment of fans and fuel the creativity of
the professionals who operate the video scoreboard system.
“The HyperX3 has provided us with the ability to very quickly generate in-game stats,” says Red Sox Chief Engineer Eric Hancock.
HyperX3 is scalable to two independent channels, optional DVE’s, Clips and the latest Lyric PRO 7.1 advanced creation and playout package. An open platform ensures interoperability, so that HyperX3 can take maximum advantage of the latest innovations in programming techniques.
Chyron Chief Operating Officer Kevin Prince adds, “HyperX3 has proven to be a major hit with sports organizations world wide. The system’s combination of speed, power and flexibility is a perfect fit for the high demands of live sports.”
