Turner To Lead Up Harris’ Newly-created Strategy and Marketing Sector

Harris Corporation has named Brad Turner to the newly created position of vice president of strategy and marketing for its Broadcast Communications business.  Turner will report to Harris Morris, division president, and will be based in the division’s Denver office.

“Brad is a talented executive that brings to Harris a proven track record of leading customer-facing teams to execute strategies that enhance organizational change and improve sustainable customer relationships,” says Harris Morris, president, Harris Broadcast Communications.  “His top-tier strategy consulting experience and ability to drive quantifiable improvement in difficult business conditions will help us achieve our division’s sales, profit and growth objectives.”

Bringing 15 years experience in developing corporate and product strategy, Turner joins Harris from his previous role as operating director at Berkshire Partners, a Massachusetts-based private equity firm. He recently lead strategic planning for a large industrial staffing company and spearheaded the turnaround of another company’s commercial division.  Prior to Berkshire Partners, Brad was a consultant and case team leader for Bain & Company. Turner holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in marketing and finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

The new strategy and marketing function that Turner will lead encompasses business development, marketing analytics roles, competitive analysis, customer engagement, sales readiness, e-commerce, and marketing communications.
