Adult Website Ashley Madison has announced that it is prepared to make an offer for the naming rights of the New Meadowlands Stadium. The new home of the New York Giants and New York Jets has already made big news, having been awarded the Super Bowl for 2014. Now the business side has taken over as the owners of the New Meadowlands Stadium have announced that they are accepting offers for its naming rights. Multiple sources are quoting a TMZ report that the founding of an adult Website devoted to promoting adultery is prepared to make an offer. …As the new home of the University of Louisville’s basketball teams, the KFC Yum! Center will be splashed in red. Arena officials also want it to be known for another color:  green. The building at Second and Main Streets will be the third arena to participate in a federal Energy Star program in which stadium and ballpark operators pledge to track energy use and enact a plan to reap savings. “It’s a way for them to publicly demonstrate their commitment to improving the environment through energy efficiency,” said Mike Zatz, a manager with Energy Star’s commercial-buildings branch…

…With the first regular-season game in their new stadium three months away, the Jets again slashed the price of thousands of personal seat licenses this week in a bid to ensure that their home games are broadcast on television. The Jets cut in half the PSL for seats in the 10 lower end-zone sections, to $2,500 from $5,000. They also reduced the price of a PSL in the four sections of lower sideline seats to $10,000 from $15,000 and in the 10 sections of Mezzanine End Zone B to $2,500 from $4,000. The price reductions affect about 18,000 licenses, half of which have not been sold. Fans who already bought licenses for seats in the affected sections can receive a check from the Jets or can lower their payments if they are on an installment plan…

With city officials facing an Aug. 3 deadline to put a stadium on the November ballot, Mayor Chuck Reed and Oakland A’s owner Lew Wolff say the Niners’ victory in Santa Clara proves the time is right for a similar measure in San Jose. But they and everyone else are waiting — and waiting — for a decision from Major League Baseball on whether the A’s can relocate. Other hurdles loom, including the possibility that ballpark opponents will sue if the City Council this summer votes to place a measure on the ballot…

…The iconic Houston Astrodome could become a convention and science center under a $1.35 billion proposal unveiled by county officials and complex operators Monday, if taxpayers are willing to pay at least a third of the cost. “This is a great landmark for the city of Houston,” said Edgar Colon, chairman of the Harris County Sports and Convention Corp. “We would like to see it stay that way and hopefully see it returned to its rightful place as the ‘Eighth Wonder of the World.’”
