Grass Valley To Roll Out HD Gear, Demo 3D at SET 2010

Grass Valley will exhibit its latest HD production tools and systems at the 19th annual SET 2010 Broadcast & Cable Show, August 25-27, in São Paulo, Brazil. This includes new HD cameras, production switchers, servers, editing systems, and a special 3D demonstration.

At its exhibit stand (#D5, E2), Grass Valley will highlight the LDK 8300 Super SloMo camera system working together with the K2 Solo, K2 Summit HD production clients and the K2 Dyno Replay System, offering a powerful and economic live slo-mo solution available today. Also on display will be the LDK 3000 HD camera, the Kayenne Video Production Center, the Maestro SD/HD branding and master control system, and the latest version of the Aurora HD editing package, working in tandem with the Grass Valley MediaFUSE Content Re-purposing and Multi-distribution System.

The company will also demonstrate its latest 3D technology, employing a Grass Valley T2 Intelligent Digital Disk Recorder (iDDR) as the fully synchronized left-eye/right-eye source feed displayed on 3D monitors that require viewers to wear passive stereoscopic glasses to view the content correctly.

During the SET conferences, which begin on August 24, Grass Valley will present three papers. Felipe Andrade, Sales Engineer Manager, Latin America for Grass Valley, will present a technical paper entitled “Automated HD News Production and Content Repurposing”. Fredy Litowsky, Key Account Manager, will highlight Grass Valley’s presence and participation during the Soccer Championship Games held in South Africa.  Litowsky will also present a paper entitled “3D Infrastructure for Today and Tomorrow”.  See the SET Conferences schedule for details.

In addition to its own exhibit booth, Grass Valley technologies will be featured at a number of third-party exhibit stands around the show floor, including the Line Up booth (D16/7), which will have a Grass Valley Indigo AV Mixer, T2 iDDR, and the K2 Solo and K2 Summit media servers as part of its new technology presentations. Videodata in booth D7 will showcase the K2 Solo server and  T2 iDDR, and Exec Technology will highlight the Grass Valley HDC robotic camera in booth E9/10.
