Spectra Logic Granted Five-Year Government Extension

Spectra Logic has been granted that it was granted a five-year listing extension on the U. S. General Services Administration (GSA) information technology (IT) Schedule 70. Spectra Logic offers archive and backup products suited for federal agencies that must maintain high data security levels and meet continuity of operations objectives. Under the contract extension, Spectra Logic’s product family will continue to be listed on the GSA schedule through August 2015.

“GSA is the single largest federal procurement contract recognized by federal, state and local agencies, and offers an easy way for these organizations to purchase pre-approved products and services,” says Brian Grainger, Spectra Logic’s SVP of worldwide sales. “Spectra ranked in the top 10 percent of revenue-generating companies with GSA for the past three years, and GSA-based sales will continue to be a dominant portion of our federal initiative.”

Spectra Logic’s archive and backup products have been listed on GSA Schedule 70 since 2003 under GSA contract number GS-35F-0563K. In 2007, 2008 and 2009, Spectra ranked in the top 10 percent of revenue-generating companies for Schedule 70.

GSA establishes long-term government-wide contracts with commercial firms to provide access to more than 11 million commercial products and services that can be ordered directly from GSA Schedule contractors.
