Orad Expands U.S.-Based Operations

Orad Hi-Tec Systems, a provider of real-time graphics and sports enhancement solutions, has announced the expansion of the company’s North American team, bringing on board industry professionals to fill new roles including sales operations manager and graphics technology director, among others.

“The staff additions are vital to our ongoing ability to provide our customers with the best service and competitive edge while we continue our double-digit sales growth in North America,” says Avi Sharir, Orad president and CEO. “As Orad’s business increases, we need to ensure that we grow our infrastructure proportionately. The new team members will add logistics, service, and engineering depth to our organization and enable us to strengthen our presence throughout North America.”

Some of the new hires for Orad North America include:

• Regional Sales Director Chris Waddell, who will be responsible for facilitating sales in both the West and Midwest regions, as well as increasing product awareness and overall visibility. Waddell has more than 30 years of experience in the broadcast and professional video technology industry.

• Steven Lima, who will serve as operations manager and oversee day-to-day operational activities across North America. Lima has more than 20 years of experience in broadcast operations with major networks including FOX, ESPN, ABC, CNN, and, most recently, NBC Studios in New York.

• Graphics Technology Director Hayes Stamper, who will be responsible for project management and product demonstrations, as well as the design and development of customer systems across the country. Stamper has held previous graphics positions with Miranda Technologies, Chyron, and Avid.

In addition to strengthening its U.S.-based team, Orad continues to invest in its corporate R&D efforts in order to bring customers the most cost-effective and technically advanced broadcast graphics products, including the company’s new Radar Touch and iPad applications.

“Despite the ongoing global economic crisis, Orad continues to increase its research and product development efforts,” adds Sharir. “Combining North American expansion with corporate research and development, we are confident that Orad will continue to lead the industry in providing innovative, real-time broadcast graphics products, as well as excellent customer service and support.”
