McKinnon Joins GoVision

GoVision L.P., provider of larger-than-life LED video walls and mobile units, has signed on Scott McKinnon, an 18-year veteran with several global technology companies, to serve as Vice President and Partner.

McKinnon, a proven leader in sales, marketing and operational oversight, was recruited to oversee all aspects of GoVision’s sales and marketing activities, as well as serving in a key management role on both day-to-day and strategic operations of the company.

“It’s become clear that as GoVision has continued to expand our client accounts, operational equipment and staff, I couldn’t keep up with everything any longer,” says Chris Curtis, CEO of GoVision (www.jumbo.tv). “Scott is going to be a critical partner to me, and an invaluable asset to our organization, both from a management perspective and in several key areas where his expertise will make us an even stronger competitor.”

McKinnon brings nearly two decades of experience in developing, building and managing successful sales models and teams with direct and indirect sales forces, resulting in high growth, market share gains and increased earnings.  Throughout his career, McKinnon has formed deeply rooted, long-term relationships with Fortune 500 clients such as American Airlines, Ford, Motorola, Lockheed Martin, Valero, FedEx Office, Sabre and Dell, to name a few.  McKinnon has developed a passion for aligning tactical initiatives between sales and marketing organizations that has fueled double, and in many cases triple, digit growth.

“GoVision is an extraordinary company, and I am honored that Chris brought me aboard during this exciting time in the organization’s history,” adds McKinnon.  “The sky’s the limit for GoVision, and I look forward to helping us maintain and enhance our position as an industry leader and innovator for many years to come.”

In addition to his management roles, McKinnon has taken direct responsibility for a new social media initiative.  He is in the process of revamping the company’s web site and launching a more robust online presence through Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, YouTube and other cutting-edge social networking platforms.

“While we will continue to enhance and expand our traditional marketing efforts, it’s clear that social media offers creative new ways to reach our customers and prospective customers,” explains McKinnon.  “We have some exciting plans up our sleeves that we believe will catapult us to a new level of online visibility.”

A native Texan and graduate of Texas Christian University, McKinnon was a three-year letterman for the TCU football team.  He loves to hunt, fish and coach youth athletics.  He and his wife, Kim, have two children and live in Coppell, TX.
