SNY To Produce All Mets Spring Training Games in HD

SNY has announced its 2011 New York Mets Spring Training programming schedule, including 16 live games produced by SNY.  For the first time ever, SNY will produce every Mets spring training game in HD.  SNY currently broadcasts all Mets regular season games in HD.

The Mets will make their 2011 SNY debut on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 1pm ET when the Mets the Atlanta Braves.

SNY’s broadcasts will feature Ron Darling, Keith Hernandez, and Gary Cohen in the booth with Kevin Burkhardt reporting from the field. In addition to his field reporting role, Kevin Burkhardt will share play-by-play duties with Gary Cohen throughout spring training.  Hall-of-Famer Ralph Kiner – entering his 50th season covering the Mets – will also be a regular contributor during the spring training telecasts.

In addition to live games, SNY’s sports news and entertainment program block will consist of DNL, The WheelHouse and Loud Mouths – which airs from 5pm-6:30pm Monday thru Friday – as well as Geico SportsNite every evening at 10pm and 1am.

The network’s website – www.sny.tv – will also provide Mets coverage as Matthew Cerrone of Metsblog.com will be blogging the fan’s experience live from Port St. Lucie.   Other spring training features at SNY.tv and Metsblog.com include live chats and blogging (including exclusive live video updated throughout the day); exclusive one-on-one interviews with players, coaches, and SNY personalities; daily video diaries and photo-blogs, and a Minor League Report featuring scouting reports, exclusive video, and interviews with the team’s instructors and top prospects.
