SNY Deploys Full-Court Press Coverage of the 2011 Big East Basketball Tournament

SNY, the official television home of the New York Mets, Jets and Big East Conference, today announced its comprehensive, multi-platform coverage of the Men’s and Women’s Big East basketball tournaments – the network’s most expansive coverage of the tournament to date. 

SNY’s coverage of the Men’s Big East Tournament will tip off Monday, March 7th at 9:30pm when the network premieres its tournament preview show.  The show will feature exclusive interviews with coaches, key match-ups, player profiles, and team-by-team breakdowns.  It will also showcase in-depth analysis from a panel of experts including former St. John’s Red Storm head coach Norm Roberts, former Providence head coach Tim Welsh, and host Gary Apple. 

In addition, SNY will provide live in-depth, nightly coverage throughout the Big East tournament – from 3/8-3/12 at 11:30pm each night – with the network’s Big East Nightly show presented by Samuel Adams.  Fans can tune-in each night for post-game reaction, press conferences, and exclusive interviews with players and coaches from around the conference.   Gary Apple will host Big East Nightly and will be joined by analysts, coaches and, reporters covering the event.

The network’s exclusive second-round game coverage of the Women’s Big East Tournament at the XL Center in Hartford, CT will commence Saturday, March 5th at noon – and will feature four games. SNY will also provide in-depth coverage of the women’s championship game, including exclusive on-site reports with players and coaches.
