Samsung, LG’s War of Words on 3D

Now it’s just getting nasty. The Korea JoongAng Daily reports that the world’s No. 1 and No. 2 players in flat-screen televisions, Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, are in a war over whose 3D television technology is better. And dry technical comparisons have given way to insults and abuse. A high-ranking Samsung official on Tuesday described LG engineers as “stupid” and termed their boasts “unacceptable.” LG fired back saying that hurling abuse at a competitor only went to show that “Samsung has lost it.”
