Museum of Moving Image Gets a Makeover, New Director

wsj.com reports that after it’s recent $67 million renovation, the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens is now substantially better equipped to address the primacy of “the art, history, technique, and technology of film, television, and digital media”. The Museum’s new director Carl Goodman, who assumed the title on March 1st, will oversee the 47,000 additional square feet of space in the building that has housed the museum since its 1988 opening.

Aspects of the renovation include expanded public galleries, enhanced educational programs, and redesigned film and digital screening facilities.
