Indian Society to Start Film & Television Institute

IndiaTimes.com reports that the Deccan Education Society (DES) on Saturday announced the launch of Institute of Film and Television (DES’ IFT). The DES’ IFT will offer four full-time post-graduate (PG) diploma courses in various disciplines of digital media and technology.

Addressing a news conference, DES vice-chairman Vikas Kakatkar said, “The autonomous PG diploma courses will be in television production, broadcast journalism, channel management and television technology.”

Admissions will be through written media aptitude test (MAT) and personal interview, for assessing the candidate’s strength, power of expression, technical inclination, general knowledge and media perception.
