Save the Date: SVG Races into NASCAR Media Group’s Charlotte HQ on July 19

SVG’s annual Sports Asset Management (SAM) event races into Charlotte, N.C. on July 19 for a behind-the-scenes look at NASCAR Media Group’s new home. The 2011 edition of the event will begin on July 18 with an opening reception at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. A one-day seminar on July 19, hosted by NASCAR Media Group, will give SVG members and sponsors the opportunity to learn how NASCAR Media Group revved up its new asset management facility. The seminar will also offer insight into the latest developments in asset media workflows and technologies, and much, much more.

“Every year, SVG members NASCAR are gracious enough to open their doors to allow other sports leagues, networks, and teams to see first-hand how the latest technical advances in asset management and archiving can apply to their business,” says Ken Kerschbaumer, SVG Editorial Director. “It’s the perfect environment and, like past events held at PGA Entertainment, NBA Entertainment and MLB Network, it promises to be a great chance to learn and network.”

In addition a tour of the NASCAR Media Group’s digital media facility and the NASCAR Hall of Fame, the event will include panel discussions highlighting cloud-based and tiered storage, logging and metadata creation, quality control, content exchange, and an inside look at the National Hockey League’s new digital workflow.

The full conference program for the 2011 Sports Asset Management event is now available on the event Website. Stay tuned for more details and registration information!
