France Bans Newscast Promotion of Facebook and Twitter

Examiner.com reports that French regualators have said non to saying Facebook or Twitter on French TV. Indeed, that is the ruling that has come down from French regulatory agency CSA.

The ruling, specifically, says those names can be used if a TV or radio news show wanted to do a news story on one of them. However, they can no longer use the terms in ways such as “Follow us on Twitter” or “Visit our Facebook page.”
