PGATOUR.com To Go LIVE@ The Barclays

After providing exclusive online video coverage for the recent Bridgestone Invitational golf tournament in Akron, OH, PGATOUR.com’s signature LIVE@ franchise will travel to Edison, NJ, this weekend for The Barclays. LIVE@ will provide live video streaming throughout the FedEx Cup Playoffs, beginning with The Barclays (Aug. 25-28), covering the Deutsche Bank Championship (Sept. 2-5) and BMW Championship (Sept. 15-18), and wrapping with The TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola (Sept. 22-25).

“During this year’s four playoff events, PGATOUR.com will provide golf enthusiasts with the most comprehensive coverage across multiple platforms, including online, on mobile and tablet devices,” says Alex Vargas, senior director of business operations for PGATOUR.com.

PGATOUR.com will offer more than 85 hours of live video streaming for the four events, a live preview show, and exclusive editorial content. Throughout the FedEx Cup Playoffs, fans can access the live leaderboard, player scorecards, official PGA TOUR Twitter feed, photo galleries, video highlights, daily tournament previews, recaps, and weekly player and event features.

Before PGATOUR.com’s online playoff coverage tees off each Thursday and Friday, fans can watch On the Tee at 12:30 p.m. ET, a live preview show featuring host John Swantek and analyst Bill Kratzert as they discuss the course, the favorites, the upcoming tournaments, and more.

PGATOUR.com’s coverage also will extend to the free official mobile app, available on iPhone, iPod, and Android. The app offers fans access to customizable leaderboards, in-round video highlights, player profiles, tee times, in-depth course breakdowns, hole images, and descriptions of all of the playoff events. In addition, PGATOUR.com’s live player content also will be optimized for the iPad. The site and video player will take advantage of the iPad’s large, multi-touch display for an optimized viewing experience.

ESPN3, ESPN’s broadband sports network, will offer PGA TOUR-produced live coverage of all four tournaments in the playoffs. Fans logging onto ESPN3.com will be able to view The Barclays from the 16th hole (par 5), with bonus coverage from the 14th hole (par 3).
