Longhorn Network Adds Five UTSA Football Games to Slate

In an agreement that began this past Saturday, Longhorn Network viewers will see additional college football games this season as the network has secured exclusive rights to televise five home football games of the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), a Division I FCS independent program.

Added to the previously announced Kansas at Texas Big 12 matchup scheduled for October 29, the agreement will bring the total number of college football matchups for the channel in 2011 to seven.

The Roadrunners are coming off their inaugural game and head coach Larry Coker’s debut with a 31-3 win against Northeastern State to take on the McMurry War Hawks at the Alamodome on Saturday. Andrew Monaco and Ahmad Brooks will call the action in the booth. The remaining Longhorn Network football schedule:

Lynn Hickey, UTSA athletics director, added “We are very excited that our remaining five home games will be televised by the Longhorn Network. This will provide great exposure for our football program and our university. I’d like to thank DeLoss Dodds and The University of Texas, Dave Brown and ESPN and Mark Devine and Nelligan Sports Marketing for making this partnership possible. “
